Yes, abusers are monsters and should be categorized with that particular term.

Domestic abusers have to be dealt with harshly, okay. The days of leniency has to be tossed somewhere. Successful counseling basically trust that the abuser can trust him or herself to control their demons.

Anyway spouses, live-ins, romantic partners aren’t the only ones deals with abusers.

The four legged ones also.

Pets are considered family members and are deemed as emotional support. Violence against family pet is viewed as abuse on the family. Women without children are more likely to postpone seeking shelter out concern for their pets’ safety as compared to women with children, 33/3% versus 19.5%.

NUMBERS INVOLVING PETS

48% of doemstic abuse survivors delay leaving because they can’t take their pet with them.

Makes me wonder how many pets rescued are from domestic violence environments?

71% of women in domestic violence shelters report their abuser threatened, injured or killed a pet. Nearly half of victims stay in abusive relationships than leave their pet behind. 52%leave their pet behind with their abusers. 25% will return because they are using their pet as a means to get them back.

FEDERAL PUNISHMENT
